Flower Explosion!

Last fall we planted tulip bulbs and mums in a little garden planter in our back yard.  It was our first attempt to grow flowers and I especially do not really have a green thumb.  The tulips didn’t do so well because most of the bulbs were eaten by squirrels before they could even take root.  (No thanks to our so-called hunting dog!)  The mums have done amazing though, literally exploding in bloom.  It’s a nice bright spot of color in the middle of our back yard.
